My Life: Soli Deo Gloria

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." ~Jeremiah 29:11-13

Mr. J

Something amazing happened on the bus today: I sat next to my brother. While may seem insignificant, the bus ride made me think about the 13 years I have been an older sister to this awesome guy.

Jonathan is the best brother I could ever ask for. Whether or not he realizes it, he has influenced me in so many ways. True, we did have our moments when we were younger: fighting over the front seat, our favorite toys, and the remote control(okay, we still do that). But what siblings don't have quarrels once in a while? Jonathan is laid-back yet works so hard. Let's just say he doesn't get uptight and stressed out like is older sister :) He has a very simple view on life. He is still in middle school, which would explain why he doesn't always view things critically, but that's what makes him so wonderful. If I could have the mind-set of my brother, my life would be so much easier.

Jonathan has grown so much in his short life already. Everybody knows Jonathan as this funny, wacky kid, but he actually used to be nervous about a lot of things when he was younger. He's always been a cautious kid, but it's amazing how much he's grown out of that shell. We had to give him slight pushes in order for him to get out of his comfort zone, but now he is so courageous. Jonathan is so sweet too. He gets along with anybody(he's like my dad in many ways). He can play with toddlers and teens and talk comfortably with adults. I wish I had that much courage. He is willing to help out with anybody in any way he can. He is so talented and smart. Jonathan is going to go so far in high school and college and his career. He can do anything and will excel at it. It's going to be so hard to leave him in a couple of years. I'll most likely be away in Pennsylvania(14 hours!!)and I'll only be able to talk to him. I need to show him how much I love him right now!! I admire him so much!!

Please pray for Jonathan. He is going to grow so much these next couple of years. Pray that he makes wise decisions and pursues his relationship with God. That is what I pray for the most. I hope he grows to become an awesome godly man and I know that he will accomplish this. My brother is so amazing and I am so proud to be his sister.
