You are now entering enemy territory...
Yesterday at lunch, my friends and I were talking about what we were going to do for our MUCH NEEDED half day (thank goodness for teacher inservices). There was the usual, "I'll probably just stay home and read" or "Since I have my license now, I can go out to lunch somewhere" or the ever-popular "I don't know". Rachael Crevier (it's french) looked at me and asked, "So Sarah, what are YOU doing?" I reluctantly replied, "Steve and I are going to visit some friends at Mona Shores." For I feared the negative responses from my peers referring to my going to our rival school. But I thought to myself I want to go visit my friends and have fun and see the school, so it doesn't matter that M.S. is our rival.(note: The above dialog, etc. is a bit more over-dramatic, but hey that's me)
Getting to Shores(as the "Sailors"(Shore-ians?(people who go to M.S.H.S.))call the school) was easy- figuring out where to park was another story. I went in the first entrance and saw that it was the staff parking lot, so I turned around and went back to the front of the building and parked in the visitor parking lot (according to the signs). Then, Steve and I went in the main entrance. I think we were suppose to get passes in order to roam around the school, but I decided to bypass that (oops). Let me just say, that school is confusing. It's like walking through a never-ending labyrinth. Thank goodness for SIGNS!!! We just followed them until we got the to infamous "glass hallway" and found the cafeteria.
Steve and I talked with John, Andrew, Ryan, David, and Mrs. Enck. I also talked with Breanna, Trisha, and Leanne. Steve and I walked around the science and math wing. We tried to get the attention of Andrew in his science class, but he must have been so into his studies that he just didn't bother to look up from his computer. What an overachiever!
Overall, the Mona Shores High School lunch experience was fun, new, and rather perplexing. All I can say is... major brownie points to the person who thought of putting up those big blue signs!!

Sorry we don't have a cool pendulum and rotunda, but we do have those nifty blue signs.
See you tomorrow night.
