My Life: Soli Deo Gloria

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." ~Jeremiah 29:11-13

Welcome to the Cult

Last night was truly an unforgetable experience. The evening was filled with lighting candles, saying a unified pledge, and receiving an authentic certificate. That's right...I'm now an official member of the Grand Haven Academic Cult.

Now before you begin sobbing and crying out "why, God, why", I'll have you know that even though this induction was a difficult process, I feel it is the next best step for my life right now. The Grand Haven Academic Cult (a.k.a. National Honor Society) will not only challenge me to strive for excellence in school and the community, but also look good on a college application. So, if you happen to see me walking down the hall with perfect posture, wearing a shirt the N.H.S. emblem plastered across the front, and chanting the words "...to hold scholarly habits, to engage in worthy service, and to lead forward in all things...", please don't be alarmed. Just accept the fact that volunteering at animal shelters and walking around with my head in a textbook is my life now.
