My Life: Soli Deo Gloria

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." ~Jeremiah 29:11-13

Band Lists and Dr. Seuss

"Oh the thinks you can think..."

This chorus has been lingering throughout my head ever since I saw Seussical last night. I always have some song in my head. I'll be sitting in math class and I'll break out with an off-key rendition of "Jesus Freak" or "Diverse City". In this case, it's a Seuss song and I have the same line(see above)going over and over in my head. That can be quite annoying. Anyway, Seussical can be summed up as this: tons of energy and...awesome! To the Spring Lake Thespians(I guess I'm kind of talking to air here)- I commend you on an enthusiastic performance.

Big News: After a prolonged process, Mr. Gregory Maynard has posted the band lists for the 2005-2006 school year. I'm certainly happy that he finally decided to post these because I know of numerous people that were getting ready to bust down his doors or T.P. his rather large motorcycle in order see the results. "Band Geeks" started waiting outside the band room doors at 12:00 and staring at Maynard hoping that he would catch sight of their angry faces and post the lists earlier than the scheduled 12:26. Finally, he posted the lists and I scanned each one, hoping to find my name under the Symphic Wind Ensemble. To my great astonishment, there it was! With an enormous smile plastered across my face, I counted down the flute list to see what chair I would be in. Sixth Chair!!! Yes, I was to be sixth chair in the top band next school year!!

That's my exciting news! ok bye.
